Support for students

The organizing Committee of IRS 2022 calls for applications from young scientists and students for supporting their attendance at the Symposium. The support is mainly a waiver of the registration fee. Partial coverage of travel or subsistence expenses could be considered if the total granted support does not exceed the available funding, and only for applicants demonstrating the importance of receiving additional support.

Eligible for applying are:

Current PhD students as well as post-doctoral scientists who received their degree during the last 4 years before the Symposium (i.e., after the 8th of July 2018)

Candidates should have submitted as first authors an accepted abstract to IRS 2022. Priority will be given to those with oral presentations or/and from developing countries.

How to apply:

Send by e-mail to the symposium secretariat info@irs2022.org:

  1. An application (up to half a page) explaining the reasons for applying. The application should also contain your personal data, academic or research status, and the ID number or title of the submitted abstract.
  2. Proof of status by the academic department dated and signed by the head of the department, or if not possible, by the PhD or research supervisor.
  3. A recommendation letter by a University professor or by a senior scientist at a Research Institute.

When to apply:

Applications must be received by 14 March 2022. Applicants will be notified for receipt of their applications within 3 working days. Notification of acceptance of applications should be expected by 21 March 2022.
